Configuration

Connecting Kualitee with your YouTrack instance is quick and easy.

A. Generating Your YouTrack Personal Token

Before setting up the integration in Kualitee, you need to generate a personal token in YouTrack.

  1. Navigate to your YouTrack Profile settings.
  2. Click on Account Security.
  3. Click on New token.
  4. Enter a descriptive token name (e.g., “Kualitee Integration”).
  5. Click on Create to generate and copy the token.

B. Setting up the Kualitee-YouTrack Integration

  1. In Kualitee, go to Settings and select Integration from the top bar.
  2. Go to ‘Create New’ in the external tool integration listing.
  3. Select YouTrack from the drop-down menu.
  4. Enter your YouTrack Email, the YouTrack token you just generated, and your YouTrack URL (e.g., https://yourcompany.youtrack.cloud).
  5. Click the ‘Save’ button to confirm a successful integration.

C. Mapping Projects

Once the integration is created, the next essential step is to map your projects between the two tools.

  1. While in the relevant Kualitee project, go to Settings and click on the Edit button against the YouTrack integration.
  2. Click on the Map Project button.
  3. Select the Integration Type (e.g., Defect), your corresponding YouTrack project, and the Kualitee Project.
  4. Click ‘Save’ to save the project mapping.
