Microsoft Entra ID, formerly Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), is Microsoft’s cloud identity provider (IdP). It authenticates users and issues signed identity assertions to the applications that trust it. Kualitee integrates with it as a service provider (SP), so users sign in with their organizational Microsoft credentials. Kualitee does not store or validate those passwords itself.

Configuration Steps for SAML

1. Go to https://portal.azure.com/ 

2. Sign in with your Microsoft account 

3. Click on “Enterprise Application” or search for “Enterprise Application” 

4. Click on “New application” button  

5. Click on “Create your own application”

6. Enter name and select option accordingly. 

7. Click on Setup single sign on option.

8. Click on SAML  

9. Click on Edit icon and a side panel will open.

10. Click on “Add identifier” and add any name and then click on “Add reply URL”.  (Get the URL from Kualitee by following the below mentioned steps).

• Go to Kualitee domain. Settings > Authentications tab and select the tool as Azure. 

• A popup will display, copy the URL from that popup and paste it in “Add reply URL” field. 

11. Now back to Azure portal and click on overview option from right panel and navigate to Overview screen.

12. Now click on “Assign users and groups”

13. Click on Add user button. 

14. Click on “none selected” under users, select the user, click on select button, and then click on Assign button. 

15. Now search for “Enterprise Application” in the search bar at top.

16. Select your application

17. Click on Setup Single Sign on

18. Scroll down and copy “App Federation Metadata Url” 

19. Enter the URL in browser and copy the X509 certificate from this.

20. Copy login and logout URLs.

22. Now copy the Application ID, Directory (tenant) ID

23. Go to Kualitee domain. Settings > Authentications tab and select the tool as Azure 

24. In the protocol dropdown, select SAML option, paste the values in the field that we have copied in previous steps. 

25. Click on “save” button and set up is completed 

26. Now, logout your Kualitee and click on “Login with Azure” button on the login screen  

27. Select the account (give the permission if asks) 

28. You will be redirected to Kualitee dashboard.
